Marie Gethins work features in Winter Papers, Bristol Short Story Prize, Bath Short Story Award, Australian Book Review, NFFD Anthologies, Fictive Dream, Pure Slush, Bath Flash Fiction Anthologies, FlashBack Fiction, Jellyfish Review, Litro, REED and many others. A novel longlisted in the 2024 Bridport Novel Prize and was one of three shortlisted in the 2025 Sowell Emerging Writer Prize. She received a Frank O’Connor Bursary, residencies at Banff Center for Arts and Creativity and Casa Uno Artist Retreat in Costa Rica, a Hawthornden Fellowship, and 2024 Irish Arts Council Agility Award. Selected for Best Microfictions, BIFFY50, Best Small Fictions, she is the Banshee flash fiction editor, co-edits for flash ezine Splonk.
